It's not surprising that Boglioli were among the pioneers of dressed-down tailoring. And they mean just what they say--their clothes are TAILORED clothes, but built in such a way as to eliminate most of the structuring so that they have an exceptionally elegant drape and silhouette.
This is one of Boglioli's Anglo-inspired Eton suits.
The jacket is cut from a beautifully lightweight wool in a lovely classic black and white birdseye weave this gorgeous jacket features hacking pockets, a fully functional ticket pocket, and twin vents--all nods to the English sporting heritage that Italian tailors often admire, and give a less stuffy and structured twist. The jacket has has a lovely 3/2 lapel roll--a nod to the Italian love of Ivy--and subtle darts.
It has very natural, unstructured shoulders.
The jacket features pick stitching throughout, and the four button cuffs are fully functional. The sleeves are lined for ease of use, but the body of the jacket is unlined, and largely unstructured. It features an angled well chest pocket on the interior, as well as an upright chest pocket.
The trousers are flat-front and cuffed; they have a fly button and additional tabs and buttons for fastening at the waist.
This suit was, of course, made in Gambara, Italy. It is in absolutely excellent condition, and comes complete with its unopened set of spare buttons.
